Specialist & Consultant in Orthodontics

Chris qualified in Dentistry from the University of Leeds in 2003. Following vocational training, Chris gained experience working in General & Community Dentistry, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, and Paediatric Dentistry as well as teaching at the University of Leeds.

Chris completed his three-year Specialist Orthodontic training at Bristol Dental Hospital and the Royal United Hospital, Bath, gaining Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons in 2011 and completing a Doctoral Degree in Dental Surgery (Orthodontics).

Chris has advanced Orthodontic training to Consultant level, which was undertaken at York Hospital and Leeds Dental Institute and has been a Consultant in Orthodontics at Pinderfields Hospital, Wakefield since 2014. Chris works part-time in Hospital and Private & NHS specialist practice providing a wide range of orthodontic treatment.

Chris is an experienced Consultant level Orthodontist used to dealing with a wide range of the most complex malocclusions effecting the teeth and face, especially with multidisciplinary cases involving restorative dentistry, complex children's dentistry and oral and maxillofacial surgery. Chris is often referred adults and under 18's who are nervous of dental treatment and has great success with these patients.

Chris has extensive experience within Hospital and specialist practice, treating patients of all ages. Chris uses a range of contemporary orthodontic appliances including Invisalign, clear and metal fixed appliances.

He provides the latest innovations in orthodontics to manage complex cases and has close links with surgeons for those patients wishing to have orthognathic surgery using more aesthetic appliances.
